The working of the biogas plant is explained below.
- The process and working of the biogas plant depend on anaerobic respiration.
- Anaerobic respiration is the process in which waste is digested by microbes to produce methane gas (biogas).
- First, the gobar or cow dung mix is mixed with water in a large underground tank to make it mushy.
- They are kept there for a few days, so that the methane gas, carbon dioxide gas and others can be taken out through a pipe and collected.
