The same basic principles: the trigger is pulled, causing a firing pin to strike the primer; the primer ignites the gunpowder and the burning powder creates pressure; the pressure pushes the projectile (shot or a bullet) down the barrel and out the muzzle, or end, of the barrel. There are different types of guns which have different working but here is how gun works -

A gun have a main parts such as magzine, bullets, barrel, trigger,etc

So when we load bullets into magzine bullets get into barrel where we open the lock and load bullets. After loading bullet into barrel gun get locked to trigger.

after pressing trigger a pin strikes the bullet and a spark creates due to which the gun powder in the bullet get fired and the bullet fires.

After firing bullet the gun is ready to reload and fire again
