Plants reproduce sexually by the formation of male and female gametes in their respective gonads. Male gametes also called pollens are produced in male gametophyte and female gametes are produced in female gametophyte. Male gametes/pollens are transferred to female gametes through pollination.  After pollination, fertilization occurs by the transfer of sperm form the pollen to the ovule via pollen tube. Zygote that develop grows into embryo that form seed. The other sperm fertilizes the 2n polar nuclei to form 3n endosperm tissue that provides nutrition to the zygote.
