all four angles of rectangle are right angle whereas a trapezoid can have at most 2 right angles .rectangle has two pairs of opposite sides parallel, and four right angles. It is also a parallelogram, since it has two pairs of parallel sides.Trapezoids only have one pair of parallel sides. It's a type of quadrilateral that is not a parallelogram.

kvnmurty: the description in English is also important.. Mainly that only two opposite sides are parallel in a T and two pairs are parallel in a R along with the internal angles being 90 deg each.
