Answer-: Actually near to Taj Mahal there is a oil refinery in Mathura. So many gases are released from that oil industries and those gases are harming the beauty of the Taj Mahal. Taj Mahal is affected by many gases like SO2 and some other air pollutants which are being released by the oil industry of Mathura. We can also understand it in the form of reactions as well as when marble CaCO3 of Taj Mahal reacts with acid rain then it causes damage in the monument that attract not only us but also it attracts many people all around the world.
