The term agrochemicals referred to the chemicals used for agriculture. The main aim is to ensure the growth of crops and protect those crops from insects/weeds. These chemicals are categorised as several parts such as fungicides, pesticides, herbicides, etc.
Though it promotes crop’s health, excessive use will lead to severe impact in environment such as on soil, water, air, and health of humans. Over use of these chemical leads to killing of beneficial bacteria, increased toxicity in soil, reduction in soil quality, water pollution, air pollution, health based impacts in humans, etc.

Although all these chemicals are very expensive for the farmers, the leaves wither and plants can die due to excessive use of pesticides, soil and water samples of the affected area should be examined to prevent any misuse. Plastic bottles should not be thrown after using insecticides. They should be washed in water and sent to junk to be recycled. Some people use them for domestic use which can be dangerous. The government sector and small scale industries together produce agrochemicals. Only 10 companies control 80% of the country's overall agrochemicals market. 60% of the market for all crop protection chemicals is derived only from the sale of pesticides. These chemicals are mostly used on paddy and cotton cultivation.
