this is as follows..
according to the identity..
(a+b)²=a²+b²+2ab
by shifting 2ab on the right side we get...
a²+b²=(a+b)²-2ab.....(sign changes )....ans.

Hey!!!

let alpha = x
and beta = y.

Your question how x² + y² = (x + y)² - 2xy

RHS = (x + y)² - 2xy

=> RHS = x² + y² + 2xy - 2xy
=> RHS = x² + y²

=> RHS = LHS

Hence Proved

Hope this helps
