Explanation:

Ethanamide will be obtained from aminoethane by reduction using Clemmensen reduction.

CH3-C=O - NH2 ----Zn/ Hg/ Conc.Hcl ---------------------> CH3-CH2 -NH2.

Hope it helps.

Aminoethane can be obtained from Ethanamide  by reduction

Explanation:

  • Ethylamine is obtained from Acetamide by using Sodium (Na) and alcohol or by using Raney nickel catalyst.
  • It can also be reduced in the presence of LiAlH_{4} in ether
  • Ethylamine can be distinguised from Acetamide by reacting both with NaOH
  • On heating Aminoethane with NaOH, produce a smell of ammoni while ethanamide does not give ammonia
  • Ethyl amine can give Carbylamine reaction While Ethanamide not give this reaction.
