Insects sometimes appear in pulses or other grains which had no insects to start with. The grains could have been kept in a sealed container where new insects cannot enter. This leads to a common misconception that the insects were born out of something other than parent insects or spontaneously generated.
But there have been conclusive experiments to prove that life can only arise from previously existing life.
So where did the insects come from? Those insects were born from eggs which were laid on the pulses, before being put into the sealed container. Grains are stored, transported and processed before getting packed for market. Insects could have laid their eggs during this period.
