During charging by conduction, both objects acquire the same type of charge. ... In this case, electrons are transferred from the neutral object to the positively charged rod and the sphere becomes charged positively.

Answer:

As we know every object is composed of atoms.

in an atom protons are positively charged and electrons are negatively charged.

If an object have the more no. of electrons as from their normal value , then it gains more negative charge (as electrons are negatively charged) and when it contains less electrons then the object contains positive charge.

☺️ hope it helps to you
