How and when was the indian constitution formed?

The Indian Constitution was created by the constituent Assembly and drafted by the Drafting Committee. A lot of debating and discussion went into the making of our Constitution. Every word spoken and debated into the constituent Assembly was carefully recorded and preserved as Constituent Assembly Debate.

It was finished and adopted on 26 November 1949. But it came into force on 26 January 1950.

• Dr. Rajendra Prasad was its President while Dr. B.R. Ambedkar was the Chairman of the Drafting Committee.
