How and where did the Narmada Bachchan movement begin?​

This movement was initiated by NGOs allied on 1989. It was mainly led by "Megha Patkar". It was started in order not to save narmada only but also all the rivers which are badly effected by building up dams.

It was first started in Gujarat & Maharashtra.
