Griffin was a brilliant scientist who discovered/ invented many new discoveries. One of them was the invisibility of human body. However, when it came to the use of this discovery, he misused it. He utilised it for petty interests, like he set his landlord's house on fire because he disliked him. Griffin indulged in petty thefts, burglaries and beating innocent people. He made illegal entries in stores and shops to feed and dress without paying anything. He stole money from shops and other people. These illegal activities made him a lawless person and an anarchist.
