How and why do electrons revolve around the nucleus ?

Actually, your statement is wrong...If they were to revolve around the nucleus, they would lose their energy and would just...DISSAPEAR. They are just present around the nucleus. They are not attracted by the positive charge because the positive charge is dampened by the heavy neutrons and thus electrons are mildly attracted to them, keeping them in around the nucleus. Though they cannot be found at one particular place at a particular period of time. This is The Heisenberg uncertainty principle. It states that electrons cannot be found at a particular place in a particular time as the electrons simply don't have a definite position, and direction of motion, at the same time.

ThePhoenix: Just like magnets
ThePhoenix: The more objects between them, the less their force is
ThePhoenix: force of attraction
dasaradh: Thanks a lot !
dasaradh: And from where does the Orbitals come from ?
ThePhoenix: They r just imaginary
ThePhoenix: Not really present
ThePhoenix: like the axis of earth
ThePhoenix: I told not literal
ThePhoenix: in an other answer

electrons are negative charged particles which are a part of an atom.atom consists of three particles. elctron proton and neutron.
electrons  are present outside the nucleus [center of the atom]. as these electrons are negatvely charged they are attracted by postively charged protons . as atom is spherical in shape it has orbital which are also called energy levels whch are also in spherical n shape.as nucleus s stuated in center of nucleus it seems like electrons are moving around nucleus .but actually they wouldn't revolve around nuclues. only due to the attractive power of two opposite charged particles they are permenently attacted to the atoms and could not be moved. electrons moves in energy levels depending on their energy level.if they have n=1 they move n first energy level f t is n=2 then on se cond. like that if ther energies increases their  energy states also increases and changes.but we can never expect and determine the position of an electron n an atom.
