season changes due to earth’s rotation around sun. while sun is in southern hemisphere, winter is in northern hemisphere, southern hemisphere that receives more sun energy.

Answer:

Seasons change due to the "revolution of earth" around the sun and the path of revolution being elliptical.

Explanation:

Earth is slightly tilted on its axis and if we see the world map most of the continents are found on the northern hemisphere. Now due to earths elliptical "orbit around the sun", we experience winter and summer when we are away from the sun.

Spring and fall comes during the time earth comes closure to sun in the orbit.
