how ant recognise their group?

Ant recognises its group by a substance called pheromones.Every ant release this chemical in  order that other ants could recognize them through its smell by using its antennae.This help all ants to maintain a queue on their journey.

Ants dont recognize their group they just follow the pheromones released by the predecessor ant and follow the same path
