Answer:

we have..2x=3y ,2x+3y=60

let, 2x=3y ---(1)

2x+3y=60 ---(2)

put the value of x in equation...(2)

3y+3y=60

6y=60

y=10

now ... put the value of y in equation...(1)

2x=3(10)

2x=30

x=15

so,

x=15 and y=10

There will be 5 solutions to the given solution.

GIVEN

Linear equation -

2x + 3y = 60.

TO FIND

Number of solutions for the given equation.

SOLUTION

We can simply solve the above problem as follows-

We are given an equation -

2x + 3y = 60

Solving for, y

y =  \frac{60 - 2x}{3}

If x = 0

y = 20

If, x = 6

y = 16

If, x = 12

y = 12

if x = 18

y = 8

if x = 24

y = 4

Hence, There will be 5 solutions to the given solution.
