Polygons:-

The basic types of 2d shapes are a circle, triangle, square, rectangle, pentagon, quadrilateral, hexagon, octagon, etc. Apart from the circle, all the shapes which have sides are considered as polygons. A polygon which has all the sides and angles as equal are called like a regular polygon.

Quadrilateral:-

A quadrilateral is a four-sided two-dimensional shape. The following 2D shapes are all quadrilaterals: square, rectangle, rhombus, trapezium, parallelogram and kite.

Parallelogram:-

A parallelogram has opposite sides parallel and equal in length. Also opposite angles are equal (angles "A" are the same, and angles "B" are the same). NOTE: Squares, Rectangles and Rhombuses are all Parallelograms!
