how are adopted for flying

Explanation:
I never yell, but I cannot stress that enough. We asked the airline and the hospital, and everyone said that we didn't need any special paperwork. We were almost kicked off the plane because we didn't have a note. Thank GOD the captain of the plane got involved, found Jack's dr and got him to fax a note over.
Airlines will not allow babies under the age of 14 days (2 weeks) to fly without a medical clearance. It has to do with their ears, actually, and the pressure changes.
Flying with Jack at 11 days was the easiest thing about the adoption. I'd rather fly than drive with him, esp because he HATED cars for the first 2 months of his life, and would scream the whole time he was in one.
Ah... the good old days.
We always bring Jack's car seat and buy a ticket for him. It's more expensive, but it's much safer. For example, he gets his own oxygen mask in the event of an emergency. A sling is a great tool because you can wear it through security, unlike a Snugli or even a mei tai. All baby liquids are approved now -- formula, diaper cream, lotion, hand sanitizer, etc., but you have to be careful and put it all in one Ziploc plastic bag. We've flown 5 more times with Jack since he was born. We also took Amtrak once. Very bad.
Good luck & God bless,
