Causes of HIV: AIDS is caused by a virus known as HIV. You can get this human immunodeficiency virus or HIV from HIV-infected blood, semen etc. Most people get infected by having unprotected sex, sharing drug needle. An infected mother also passes to her child by breast-feeding or during pregnancy or birth.

Symptoms: Most common, early stage symptoms include, fever, headache, nausea, sore throat, joint pain, skin rashes, swollen lymph node ans symptoms generally go away within couple of weeks.

Preventive steps:
 •    Preventive safe sex.
•    Don’t share toothbrushes, razors and needles or syringes.
