the Alveoli have a very thin wall composed of simple moist non ciliated squamous epithelium and it is closely surrounded by a network of blood capillaries .
so when there is a higher concentration of oxygenated blood in Alveoli so the oxygenated blood moves in blood vessels and deoxygenated blood moves in Alveoli due to thin walls. that's how Alveoli helps in exchange of gases.
