How are antiseptics different from disinfectants ?

Antiseptics are germ killing chemicals applied on body and disinfectants are germ killing substances applied on spots. Antiseptics are mild but disinfectants are strong.Antiseptics cause no harm to the body but disinfectants cause harm to the body.
