apartheid was a system in which people of South Africa are distinguished on the bases of there color. The native of south Africa were blacks... they were black in colours so they were known as blacks...... the white were small in number but enjoy over blacks...... everything like schools ,colleges, cinema hall, temple, public transport, etc. all were different for blacks and white and blacks were also not allowed to protest against this, they cannot worship were white worship.

2. They were forbidden from living in white areas. They could work in white areas only if they had a permit.
3. Trains, busses, taxis, hospitals, hotels,schools and colleges, libraries, cinema halls,theatres,beaches, swimming pool,public toilets were all separate for whites and blacks.
4. They could not even visit the churches where the whites worshipped.
5. Blacks could not form association or protest against the terrible treatment.
