How are bases different from alkalis? Are all bases alkalis?

Alkalis are also bases but thedifference between them is,alkalis are soluble in water but the bases doesn't.Bases are substances that react with acids and neutralise them. ... Manybases are insoluble - they do not dissolve in water. If a base does dissolve in water, we call it an alkali.

Alkalis are bases that dissolve in water. No all base are not alkalies because all base do not dissolve in water.
