Rocks break into smaller and even more smaller as the time travels. These small pieces of rocks are carried in the river water, which in turn changes them into even minute particles known as sand.

These sand particles settle on the banks of rivers forming beaches. 

Beaches are found in coastal areas such as Visakhapatnam (where I live), Mumbai, Goa etc.

Some beaches are R.K. Beach in Visakhapatnam, Juhu Beach in Mumbai, etc.
