The colour of any object is the light it reflects. An object is white if it reflects all the light falling on it. An object is black if it reflects no or very little light and so absorbs almost all light.

Black is the colour of objects that do not emit or reflect light in any part of visible spectrum they absorb all such frequency of light.

By Kirchoff's law, body which is a good emitter that is a good absorber too and vice-versa.
