how are cactus plant adapted to survive

cactus plants survive in desert .
they evaporate less water because its leaves changed into spines (kante)
and thier root goes very depth to absorb water . photosynthesis occur in whole body
so they easily adapt themselves .

Because it store water in the body part and in the presence of hard needle in cactus tranpiration does not take place.And it has large root (taproot) to absorb water.
