Some of the carbon dioxide istransported dissolved in the plasma. Some carbon dioxide is transported as carbaminohemoglobin. However, mostcarbon dioxide is transported as bicarbonate. As blood flows through the tissues, carbon dioxide diffuses into red blood cells, where it is converted into bicarbonate
