1) They can make the soil too acidic or too basic.

2) If used in excess, they harm the crops also.

3) They also cause soil pollution and air pollution when sprayed.

4) When sprayed, they are washed away into the nearby waterbodies and pollute the water also.

5) They also cause mineral depletion in the soil.
