How are chlorofluorocarbons responsible for the depletion of ozone layer ?

ozone depletion occurs ,when the cfcs gases and halons gases are formerly found in aerosol spray cans and refrigerators and in air conditioners...then cfcs and halons gases cause chemical reaction that break down ozone molecules reducing ozone ultraviolet radiation absorbing capacity..

CFCs and other helogenated ozone depletibg substances (ODS) and man made chemicals are mainly responsible for ozone depletion. As mentioned above when such ozone depleting chemicals reach the stratosphere they dissociated wit ultraviolet light to realise chlorine atoms
