Coins of medieval period are mostly minted with the rulers of that time this tells us the king of that time. They are also minted with some symbols, they can be the National symbols of that time or letters of their writing which tell us that about the king and his qualities like cruel, kind, generous, great etc. And of course it gives the info of when the king was born and when he died. They also tell us in which year they were minted.

ANSWER:

* Coins were the currency used by the rules in the Mediaeval period as it was easy to engrave anything on them. The study of coins is called numismatics. The coins generally convey the message and the name of the rules who issued them
