When the aquatic animals die in water, their bodies were lying on the surface of water and due to the waves of water, bodies go to the corner of the ocean or seas and became very hard due to the action of air and sunlight and became a coral reef.

Examples- The great barrier reef & Amazon reef.

hi friend,
Most of the coral reefs are formed after last glacial period when melting ice caused the sea level to rise and flood the continental shelves.

It is built by colonies of tiny marine animals that contain few nutrients.
