How are corpora adipose of cockroach functionally similar to the liver of vertebrates?

Corpora adiposa of cockroach has lobes.

Each lobe consists of cells like :

  • Trophocytes: Stores fats along with  glycogen which acts as reserve food when needed.
  • Mycetocytes: Harbours symbiotic microorganisms which synthesizes amino acids,vitamins & fats into glycogen.
  • Urate cells: Absorbs nitrogenous waste from the blood and helps in synthesis of uric acid.

just as the liver of vertebrates does.
