How are different sound notes generated in musical instruments like guitar, which uses strings for generation, and flute,which uses blown air for sound generation?​

Answer:

In string based instruments the frequency of vibration of the string is changed by changing the tension on the string.This results in generation of different notes on other hand in musical instruments like flute ,the holes on the flute are opened or closed to change the lengths of vibrating air column in flute.Hence it results in generation of different sound notes.

When string is striked in a guitar forced vibrations are produced which causes for the production of music same is the case with flute. Here a soothing sound is produced which is good to hear hence it is called music.
