Fertile soil is called manure which is used by farmers for sowing. Fertile soil or Manure makes the plants growth faster and better. Therefore, in this way microbes and earthworms are helpful to farmers.

Microbes: Nitogen is an essential plant nutrient that enhances plant growth, however plants cannot absorb rigth from the air.Rhizobium which is a microbe present in the root nodules of leguminous plants like peas and beans convert atmospheric nitrogen into water soluble nitrates which can be readily absorbed and be utilised by the plant

Earthworms: 1) Earthworms eat dead and decaying organic matter such as leaves, which they excrete as vermicompost.Vermicompost is very nutrious and helpful for the plants as they are rich in nutrients and plants.

2)Earthworms move in the soil, creating tiny tunels int he process, this makes the soil aerial and benefits the roots of plant as there is space and the roots can grow freely,which results in healthier root system.
