Due to our eating habits, there are many lands that are being cut and destroyed to satisfy our needs.

• Palm oil: The palm oil is the processed food ingredient that you might not have heard of. It is considered as vegetable oil which is a wrong indication. However, in Indonesia, people are defrosting their land for the palm oil. It is even widely found in the depth of rainforests.

• Cocoa: Chocolate is driving the word towards deforestation. There were the majority of plants around West Africa that are sadly precedence.

EXPLANATION:

Eating habits are linked with type of crops grown in region and vice-versa.

We know that the type of crop production at a certain area depends on its climate like in south region, more rice, coconut are produced so people are using them as their main food whereas North India is good in the production of wheat so they are mainly based on wheat products. So we can say that eating habits and type of crop grown are dependent on each other.
