very small animals are important in an ecosystem as the ecosystem can run without them because every single organism has its own significance which means it has its own duty or own work to perform without which the ecosystem can't go any further like let us take an example of earthworm it generally decomposes the biodegradable material converts it into a kind of natural fertilizer which even producers or provides humus to the soil as well as other micro and macro nutrients so this is how that even a small animal is important in ecosystem.

a very small chane in ecosystem can lead to large damage to the food chain as well as ecosystem.for eg-if decomposers are disappeared from the ecosystem,it will be impossible for us and as well as the other organism to sustain life on earth.
