Forests are a very important renewable source. They are useful in the following ways-

1. rain water falls on the leaves of trees and plants .
2. The drips flows on to the forest Road thurs water does not collect and stagnate on the forest floor

3. it prevents flooding

4. the water is able to seep into the soil and helps to recharge the water table.

5.It increases the amount of oxygen.

6. Stability in soil is possible by trees, enables the land based plants and animals to live.
