Frogs are not completely adapted tolife on land. Most adult frogs are completely adapted to live life on land while some are better suited to live in water. All adult frogs lay their eggs in or around water. Tadpoles look almost nothing like frogs as they have tails, no legs or arms, and use gills for breathing.

Frogs start their lives as aquatic tadpoles with gills to breathe. As tadpoles grow into frogs, lungs replace the gills and allow frogs to breathe on land. ... Numerous blood vessels present in frogs' thin skin absorb the oxygen.
