Most of the fuel gases are used for cutting and welding purposes

The fuel gases used in the industries are acetylene, methane, propane and propylene

Combustion of the conventional fuels such as  in them hard coal, brown coal, oil and natural gases cause pollution in the atmosphere with the oxides of sulfur and nitrogen present

The emitted sulfur dioxide and nitrogen dioxide are pressured in water to form sulfuric and nitric acid respectively which are used for other useful purposes .
