How are fungi similar and also dissimilar to plants?

their outside structure looks similar, have flowering buds but plants are autotrophic whereas fungi are heterotrophic

Similarities and dissimilarities of fungi and plants:

Similarities:  

1. Both fungi and plant belong have cell wall in the cells.

2. Both may have vacuoles in their cell wall.

Dissimilarities:  

1. Fungi are usually organisms that depend on the host for their nutrition. Plants produce their own food.  

2. Fungi have their cell wall made up of chitin whereas plants have their cell walls made of cellulose.

3. Plants have light trapping pigment known as chlorophyll unlike fungi which lack it.

4. Plants cannot move but fungi may possess some ability to move.
