Gap junction is a connection between two cells , which are linked(connected) by channel proteins (in vertebrates connexien protein) which passes signals and other essential molecules to one cell to another cell. Gap junction is only present in Animal cells. In gap junction connexien proein are bond in group of 6 and forms connexon these connexon are like gates , when they open than sharing of molecular starts and when they close sharing of molecules aoso get closed.
