Heredity - This is the passing on of traits from parents to their offspring either through sexual reproduction or asexual reproduction.

The offspring cells or organisms acquire the genetic information of their parents through a mechanism known as inheritance.

The inherited traits undergo modification.

Through hereditary, variations between individuals can accumulate and cause species to undergo evolution by natural selection.

This is made possible by :

1.) Inheritance of acquired traits.

2.) Modification of inherited traits.

This will cause species to evolve.

What is heredity ?
➡️Formation of new species due to changes in specific characters of several generations of living organisms as a response to natural selection is called as Evolution.

1. At present, crores of species of plants and animals with a lot of diversity regarding shape are present on the earth.
2. There may have been some differences among the first primitive cells and according to the principle of natural selection, some may have shown good growth and some may have perished which could not adjust with surrounding.
3. Sustaining and selected organisms can perform reproduction and thereby give rise to the new species with their own specific characters.
