Himalayas have been separated on the basis of states from west to east or east to west. The division has been done on the origin of the rivers flowing in the Himalayan regions.....^_^

Assam Himalayas : This region of Himalayas lies between the rivers Tista & Dihang

Nepal Himalyas : The region lies between the rivers Kali & Tista

Kumaon Himalayas : The part lies between the rivers Sutlej & Kali

Punjab Himalyas : The part lies between the rivers Indus & Sutlej
