From the clearing of land, draining of swamps, mountain top removal, mining, and so on, and the use of chemicals like herbicides, pesticides, and just byproduct waste. We also introduce, intentionally and accidentally, invasive animals and plants which can wreck up ecosystems that have developed without these organisms, and we spread disease without realizing it in most cases. For example, if you collect firewood from one site and carry it miles away to another natural site, you may have just carried a fungus or insect that was previously unknown to the new site. These pathogenic organisms can then become established and wreak havoc on their new hosts (ie. American chestnut - the redwood (not really, but they were very large) of the East and a huge food source for animals, and within a hundred years most people either don’t remember them or never knew they existed.) Change is inevitable. No species will last forever and no forest or even mountain will stay the same forever, but we have sped things up exponentially.

Human beings are responsible for the depletion of vegetation and wildlife for the following reason…greed. ... Bees are diminishing in numbers due to man's interference and other species are dying out.
