here's ur ans....

HYDROCARBON are of two types :

1) SATURATED HYDROCARBON - it contains
C-C single bond.
Ex- Alkane (CnH2n+1) ; n= no. of carbon
atom.

2) UNDERSTAND HYDROCARBON-it contains
C-C double bond.
Ex- Alkene(CnH2n) ; n=no. of carbon
atom
AND
Alkyne(CnH2n-1); n=no.
of carbon
atom

Hello Sree!
Here is ur answer...
Hydrocarbons are classified as
Saturated Hydrocarbons.
These are compounds that have single bond. For eg.
CH3CH3 ie Ethane
Molecular formula is CnH2n+2
Unsaturated Hydrocarbons.
These r compounds that have double or triple bond. For eg.
Ch2Ch2. and CHCH ie Ethene and Ethyne resp.
Molecular Formula r CnH2n and CnH2n-2
Hope it may help u....

sree897: thanks a lot di...
gargi65: Ur welcome...
