Andaman and Nicobar Islands were formed due to collision between Indian Plate and Burma Minor Plate [part of Eurasian Plate][Similar to formation of Himalayas].

Many yrs ago India had been a part of Gondwana land due to sudden movement of tectonic plates it seperate from the Gondwana land and got join to Asia, due to this collision a lot of soil spread in plains of Indian and also due to this collision The Himalayas was formed.
