Leguminous plants like chickpea has nodules called legumes in its root that store nitrogen. These plants convert nitrogen present in the air into soluble form which enriches the soil.

Hey friend,
Here's your answer

Leguminous plants are different from other plants because they contain bacteria called rhizobium present in their root nodules and converts nitrogen into nitric and provide nutrients to the soil and replenish them .

So they are different because other plants can't do it.

Hope it helps!!! Pls mark as brainliest :-) :-)
