To prevent the attracting to each other and losing there charge slowly bar magnets are stored in pairs with unlike poles opposite and pieces of soft iron - keepers across the ends.
The keepers become induced magnets and their poles neutralise the poles of the bar magnets.
Hope this helps....

Magents are kept safely in the following ways-
• Magnets need to be kept in a closed container in order to avoid the attraction of debris.
• Magnets must be stored in room temperature. If the magnets are stored above the room temperature, it will lead to demagnetisation.
Role of keepers in storage of magnets are-
• Keepers are soft iron plates that are placed on the poles of a magnet to prevent the demagnetisation of magnet. It is able to do it by completing the magnetic Circuit.
