how are meteors different from stars

Stars has it own light. Sun is a star as well.

They have gases like Hydrogen (71%), Helium (21%), other gases(2%).

They give energy by the process of Nuclear fusion.

There are stages of formation of stars

White Dwarf- It is initial stage of forming stars. Its size is small and it have high density

Red Dwarf- If hydrogen is about to finish in any star.( Hydrogen is the main Couse of providing energy). It have big size and low density.

Black Dwarf- It is last stage of any star.

Meteor- it is broken particle of asteroid and comets

also known as shooting stars or falling stars.

Meteorite- it is residual part of meteor which reach on earth in physical condition

Stars are having gases mostly and and meteor are made up of dust particles,stones and some gases
